Vienna  hold the deserved title of the world's capital of classical music. The city boasts unrivalled music history, being home to such masters as Mozart, Beethoven, Haydn, Strauss. The city hosts greatest classical music festivals and nurtures the most famous orchestras.

The Imperial Classic Gala is one of the most acclaimed concerts. It takes place in the concert hall of Natural History Museum, characterized by grand elegant interior. Vienna Imperial Orchestra and many renowned opera singers perform the most celebrated classical masterpieces. The concerts run April - October, Thursday to Monday, at 8.15 pm.

Vienna Hofburg Orchestra, residing in the imperial Hofburg Palace, consists of 40 professional musicians and international soloists of the Vienna State Opera. The repertoire includes compositions by Johann Strauss and W.A. Mozart. Magnificent interior and incomparable soft acoustics create a really unforgettable experience.

Vienna Mozart Concerts run in several venues, Musikverein, Konzerthaus, Hofburg Palace, Vienna Opera House. The repertoire includes Mozart's symphonies, instrumental concertos and arias from famous operas. The musicians wear splendid costumes of the epoch.  The most impressive pieces by the Strauss Dynasty, such as "The Blue Danube Waltz" and "The Radetzky March" are also performed. The concerts run 2 May - 31 October, Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday at 8.15 pm.

Vienna Residenz Orchestra is one of the finest chamber orchestras in the world. The program comprises "Wiener Klassik" played by anything from 10 to 40 musicians. Mozart Ensemble plays in beautiful Sala Terrena, the oldest concert hall of the city.  Schonbrunn Palace Orchestra is another essential chamber music orchestra, performing in Schonbrunn Palace. Luxurious historical ambiance of the venue and excellent unified sound of the orchestra grant this event a deserved reputation.

There are many other concert halls, frequented by established and experimental orchestras. Palais Auersberg provides a small, but ingeniously charming venue for classical music concerts. Orangery Schoenbrunn in the imperial palace is a very old court venue, which witnessed legendary music competition between Mozart and Salieri.

But the city attracts also modern musicians and pop singers. Among the forthcoming events  Justin Timberlake, Il Divo, DJ Tiesto, Arctic Monkeys, The Police, Gwen Stefani.
